Return and Refund Policy

At The New Romantics, we strive to ensure that each customer is satisfied with their purchase. However, we understand that occasionally, circumstances may arise that necessitate a return or refund. Please review our policy below:

Returns:

  • We accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase date.
  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
  • To initiate a return, please contact us at hello@thenewromanticsbooks.com to receive further instructions.
  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • If your return is approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 5-10 business days.

Refunds:

  • We offer refunds for items that are defective or damaged upon receipt.
  • If you receive a defective or damaged item, please contact us immediately with details and photographic evidence.
  • Once your refund is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. You will receive the credit within 5-10 business days, depending on your card issuer's policies.

Event Policy:

  • All events are 18+ unless otherwise specified.
  • One ticket = one person.
  • All attendees must have a valid ticket.
  • Event tickets are non-refundable, even if the conversation partners change or the event style changes. 
  • Resold tickets will not be allowed!
  • Please make sure of your ability to attend prior to purchasing a ticket. Can’t make it to the event after grabbing a ticket? No worries — we’ll hold your book for up to two weeks after the event. After that, any unclaimed books will be donated to the store. 
  • If your ticket included a book(s), you will be able to get your books shipped to your for additional fee or it will be available for pick up at our store located at 3018 Corrine Drive Orlando, FL 32803.

Harm to Small Businesses: Returns and refunds can have a significant impact on small businesses like ours. Unlike larger retailers, we operate on narrower profit margins and often have limited resources. Every returned item means not only a loss of revenue, but also additional costs associated with restocking, processing, and potential damage to the product. As a result, excessive returns and refunds can hinder our ability to sustain our operations and offer competitive pricing to all customers.
